Job Summary

The role is responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations, client query management, cash handling, documentation, and compliance support to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth financial processes. The position plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, strengthening vendor/client relationships, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and organizational policies.

Principal Accountabilities:

Expected Results Major Activities

• Timely and accurate response to client queries

• Address and respond to client inquiries as per SLA.
• Provide clear explanations of financial transactions, statements, and discrepancies.

• Accurate recording of financial transactions

• Enter financial data into accounting software.
• Ensure proper transaction coding and classification.

• Efficient management of payments

• Record and reconcile incoming payments.
• Verify payments against invoices and POs.
• Maintain an updated record of receipts.

• Effective payable and receivable control

• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Communicate with vendors/clients to resolve issues.
• Ensure timely collections and disbursements.

• Proper cash handling

• Conduct daily cash handling activities.
• Collect cash from customers and deposit to bank/vault.

• Compliance with regulations

• Maintain compliance with financial policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare documents for audits and inspections.
• Prepare daily invoices and bills.

• Organized documentation

• Maintain financial documents, invoices, and receipts.
• Ensure proper filing for audit and reporting needs.

Major Challenges:

  • Maintaining accuracy and timely processing amid high transaction volume
  • Handling client queries professionally while ensuring compliance with SLAs
  • Managing cash handling responsibilities with zero discrepancies
  • Coordinating with multiple stakeholders (clients, vendors, bank, internal teams)

Key Decisions :

  • Determining correct transaction coding and classification
  • Identifying discrepancies in payments and escalating appropriately
  • Prioritizing urgent client queries or financial issues requiring immediate resolution

Requirements & Qualifications :-

Educational Qualification :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA-CC preferred but not mandatory)

Relevant Experience :

  • 3 – 5 years

Technical Skills / Knowledge :

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable/payable processes
  • Understanding of VAT, tax, and basic financial compliance
  • MS Excel proficiency (Vlookup, Pivot Table preferred)

  • Strong communication skills in Bangla and English
  • Integrity and reliability in handling cash and sensitive financial data
