Software Business Development Manager Reporting to Director
Key Responsibilities: The Software Business Development Manager will be expected to:
-Generate and mature the sales pipeline by identifying and engaging with potential clients in target markets for the company’s software products and services.
– Promote the company’s software products and services to prospective clients, highlighting the unique value proposition and addressing customer needs.
– Identify prospective accounts in target markets and develop strategies to effectively approach and engage with them.
– Manage client accounts, ensure customer satisfaction, and nurture relationships to generate repeat business.
– Coordinate with the presales and product teams to understand customer requirements, provide appropriate solutions, and develop compelling proposals.
– Carry out sales forecasts and analysis to track performance, identify trends, and provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
– Prepare customer feedback reports to gather insights on customer satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to product and service enhancements.
Preferred Capabilities: The ideal candidate should possess the following capabilities:
– Proven track record: Demonstrated experience in acquiring a significant number of software development and services projects.
– Client/project management: Experience in managing multiple clients/projects and ensuring successful delivery.
– Handling complex projects: Ability to handle and successfully deliver complex and large-scale software projects.
Leadership skills: Strong leadership qualities, including attention to detail, effective decision-making, and the ability to motivate and guide a team.
– Multitasking: Effectively managing multiple tasks, prioritizing responsibilities, and meeting deadlines.
Requirements: The candidate should meet the following requirements:
– Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of work experience in software business development, with a proven track record of acquiring projects and maintaining concurrent clients/projects.
– Government sector experience: Experience in business development within the government sector, understanding the procurement processes and specific requirements.
– Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients, present proposals, and communicate with internal teams.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field from a reputed national/international institution.
