Position Title: Officer – Accounts & Finance
Department: Accounts & Finance

Reporting To: Accounts Manager

Job Summary

The position of Officer – Accounts & Finance is responsible for supporting daily financial operations, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with statutory requirements, and maintaining financial records. The role involves assisting in fund collection, VAT/TDS reporting, and MIS documentation to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Expected Results Major Activities

• Accurate financial documentation and reporting

• Collect and preserve bank statements, MIS reports, and encashment certificates
• Prepare, send, and document financial statements and related materials

• Proper Tax & VAT compliance

• Prepare all challans/certificates and manage fund collection and deposit to the treasury
• Maintain VAT registers and documentation
• Prepare and submit monthly TDS statements, quarterly returns, and ensure compliance documentation

• Organized compliance and HR-related submissions

• Submit and preserve company compliance documents, quotations, and HR compliance reports
• Support in submission of Annual Statement under Section 108 & 108A

• Efficient transaction and payment management

• Manage payment collections/deposits, issue money receipts, and handle related documentation
• Perform scrutiny, data entry, voucher preparation, and maintain financial records

• Data management and reporting
• Maintain accurate MIS reporting and perform regular Tally backups

Major Challenges:

  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial documentation and submissions
  • Maintaining compliance with company and government financial reporting standards
  • Managing multiple documentation and reporting tasks within strict deadlines

Key Decisions:

  • Determining prioritization of financial and compliance documentation
  • Identifying discrepancies in financial data and escalating issues to senior management

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

Educational Qualification :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferably BBA majoring in Finance or Accounting).

Relevant Experience :
Fresh graduate or 1–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit-related roles

Technical Skills :
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Tally ERP, and basic financial reporting tools

Personal Characteristics :
Detail-oriented, responsible, proactive, and able to maintain confidentiality.

Core competencies:
Analytical ability, accuracy, documentation management, time management, and team collaboration.

Language Required:
Bengali and English – reading, writing, and speaking proficiency.

Salary:
Negotiable based on experience and expertise
